I believe in aiding others with the therapeutic touch of massage not only in a physiological way, but a psychological as well.
What Lead Me to Massage Therapy:
My first exposure to massage therapy goes back to when I was a preteen. As a child, I was in a car accident which lead to my thoracic vertebra twisting, resulting in pinched nerves. Little did we know then, the root of the problem was muscular. I spent years in and out of doctors, chiropractors and physical therapists offices. Eventually, my PT suggested we try massage. In doing so we were able to see that loosening the muscles and keeping them relaxed, helped tremendously. Through a regular massage routine, she was able to work out the trauma from the accident and my muscles no longer excessively pulled at the vertebrae. I regained my youth, living a pain free life.
This lead me to the world of massage to helping others alleviate and ease their pain in a less aggressive way.
Personal Life:
Outside of massage, I enjoy spending time with my family and creating art. In our household, the days are spent cooking noutrious homemade meals, reading lots of books, and going on every adventure we can. Showing my son the world, playing in puddles or snow, and exposing him to the natural beauties of Wisconsin is my utmost greatest joy in life.
If I'm not at the studio on the weekends you can find me muddling Old Fashioneds and serving perch at Wendt's on the Lake.
